Internship Opportunities for 2016-17
The Taylor Foundation welcomes applications for internships from highly motivated undergraduate or graduate students who reside in the New York metropolitan area and have a strong interest in the arts and/or arts management. Note: we do not accept interns from outside the United States.
Marketing interns assist in advertising and promotion of the Paul Taylor Dance Company and Taylor 2. Interns conduct web research for prospective audiences among groups and individuals, and help with merchandise inventory. Applicants must know Word and Excel and be able to write effective letters, as well as prepare them for large mailings. Spring interns are expected to help out during the Lincoln Center season as much as possible, including at the theater prior to and during evening performances. All internships are unpaid, but interns may have opportunities to see performances by the Paul Taylor Dance Company and Taylor 2 and may take classes at The Taylor School when in session. Internship hours are flexible, but usually consist of a minimum of twelve hours per week.
Public Relations interns will assist in the promotion of Paul Taylor American Modern Dance NY Season via public relations and social media. Interns will assist the Director of Public Relations during the 2017 PTAMD Season at Lincoln Center. You must be available to work evenings and weekends from March 7 through 26.
